good gosh... thought no one would find their way here. it's quite fun i have to say. well, been practising the album songs. we've got some ways to go before they're tight enough to perform. we're still wondering what cover or covers to play as encores, so any suggestions out there?

well you guys could do a 'the obs' version of a nice hippy indie song.. that'll be rather cute. I can imagine 'Girl from Katong' with lotsa special effects and sang by leslie in his typical fashion. That's shake things up. heh.

virgins are good... 30-somethings learning to blog are cool.

dont think we'd do serenaide justice by screwing around with their song. but it certainly sounded really good over the radio waves just the other day. we're looking back a little more i guess, finding that song that's just right is not easy... you want it to be rousing but not irish bar jig singalong, definitely not anthem-like, and not something too predictable. something that's odd but recognisable enough yet will emotionally connect. how dah...

hey guys, another huge observatory fan here... just as eagerly waiting for the 2nd cd as just about anyone else here. i know my fren's goin nuts waiting for a studio version of that 'passing rain' song. last time i caught u guys was at zouk - sounds like you guys may be takin an edgier turn on the next release? (OT: heard deep door down on p10 the other day... ah the memories)

hey crapshoot

nice to hear from ya. that 'passing rain' song is actually called "observations of human failure" and yr fren will be glad to know it's on the next album. v strange deep door down should resurface on p10. i thought they just play MTV-ish hits, and almost no local music, especially not old ones. maybe things are looking up. it would be nice if they started allocating at least 50% of their airtime to local music. but then again, most days, i really dont care what the radio's playing. looking fwd to norway!!!!! cant wait. cold air, cigarettes, beer and more music and music talk!

Heya guys! I'm crapshoot's fren ;) can't wait for the 2nd album!!!! (seems to be a constant refrain here) Observations of human failure is an absolutely gorgeous song... sigh. I'm sure the other songs on the album are gonna be just as good (hint: my birthday is coming up in a couple of months crapshoot!) Heard you guys are having a performance at the Esplanade in sept... YAY!!!!!
